Conservation Science Centres are planned for:
The unique design of the centres is the vision of Diana Twining. Diana holds a Masters of Architecture from Catholic University, and is a talented architect, sculptor, and photographer. She has also traveled extensively in East and Southern Africa, and is familiar with the design constraints unique to the region.

A follow-up meeting to the Inception Workshop was held at Shidzidzi Lodge in Welgevonden Private Preserve adjacent to Marakele National Park. The meeting, sponsored by Ned & Diana Twining, was also attended by Dr. Lucy Spelman (Director, National Zoological Park, Smithsonian Institution), Johann van de Mewre (Director, South African National Parks), Colin Bell (Managing Director, Wilderness Safaris), and Peter Anderson (founder of Welgevonden Private Preserve), among others. During the meeting, Ned Twining presented his gift of $800,000, over the next three years, for the Centres and selected conservation science projects.
