Three major projects were the focus of the Trustee's work. These included the second development phase of the Marakele Conservation Science Centre for the benefit of South African National Parks (SANParks), the completion of the first Conservation Biology and Wildlife Management Course at the University of Namibia and, a development meeting with Joseph Matlhare, Director, Botswana Department of Wildlife and National Parks.

Progress on the development of the Marakele Conservation Science Centre (MCSC) was realized in several areas. Based on the Memorandum of Understanding between ACSC/Twining and SANParks/Mavuso Msimang, three education or, learning tracks, will be offered through the Marakele Conservation Science Centre. Education and training are already underway at the Marakele Centre. Privately owned land within Marakele National Park was identified by SANParks for acquisition using funds from the ACSC gift, and a site plan has been developed.
